Talk: InterPlanetary Specifications

ipfs talk

I gave a lightening talk ⚡️ at IPFS þing 2023 on the 19th of April, about the progress we have made over the past months on building a website for the InterPlanetary Specifications of the IPFS ecosystem. Here’s the slides deck and the video.

I realize I spoke a bit too fast. It was supposed to be a lightening talk, but not necessarily a lightening² talk.

Putting 5,998,794 Books on IPFS (annas-blog.org)

ipfs archive preservation

This is a good post about the experience of putting that massive amount of books, and therefore data, and the challenges that come with it.

Anna’s Archive claims to be “the world’s largest open-source open-data library”. As far as I understand, this shadow library does not, by itself, host any of the content. Instead, it is a massive search engine with the collection of the metadata of all these books. Nevertheless, it seems that the authors are invested in seeding the content too.
