In the heart of Madeira, you can find a subtropical forest, called Laurisilva Forest. There’s a lot of hiking trails you can take which will bring you to breathtaking scenes. These ere on what is maybe the easiest trail on the island.
In the trails of the levadas of Madeira island, you sometimes come across amazingly magical mist.
All temples in Japan were unique on their own. This one was covered by a moss blanket, making it one of my favorite ones to see. The gardening work was also mesmerizing.
In Japan, I had the chance to see real life, very long, bamboo π. I’ve seen bamboo before, even in my hometown in Portugal, but never to the extent of what I saw in Japan. It’s incredible and mesmerizing.
On the flight back from Japan, we had to circumvent Russia’s airspace. To do so, we went up to the North Pole, and then through Greenland. I never expected that seeing Greenland from above would give such amazing views. It is absolutely mesmarizing!
Some sheep found roaming the fields of the Stratumse Heide.
Three simple pictures I took during a walk in the Stratumse Heide. It’s already starting to look somewhat like autumn, which I appreciate. I also haven’t used my camera for quite some time, so I’m very happy I brought it with me. I went there hoping to see highlander cows. Sadly, I didn’t see them this time, but I saw some of their… manure π©.
There were some things I did not photograph because a thunderstorm was becoming closer and closer. Therefore, we thought it’d be safer to start leaving.
A few days ago, my boyfriend invited my go to the Bloesempark in Amsterdamse Bos. Unfortunately, I won’t be in the Netherlands next weekend so I cannot go. However, since the idea of going to a park with around 400 japanese cherry blossom trees (Sakura trees) πΈ was too enticing, I gathered some friends and visited yesterday.
We traveled by train from Eindhoven to Amsterdam ArenA. We immediately saw that was not the best idea so we continued to Amsterdam Zuid and rented some OV-fiets there. It was my first time using an OV-fiets and I must say: they run very smoothly. But their brakes? Horrible.
We biked to and through the Amsterdamse Bos until we reached the Bloesempark and oh my gosh. So many people. Considering that there are around 400 trees there, I’m sure there was way more than one person per tree. There were also people dressed with some traditional dresses. It was incredible! Anyways, here’s some photos from yesterday.
May. Still in my hometown and realizing that I was slightly lucky because I could take walks in the nature in peace while some of my friends were stranded in the city.
I experimented a bit with sunset and night pictures. Made a few mistakes, but I’m proud of the results.
